The Art of Being
Join us in Ritual for The Art of Being, an intimate evening showcasing the works of seven distinct artists.
Working in oil sticks, acrylic, and oil paint, Hamid Johannes Mahmood pairs unexpected color with rhythmic, repeating forms — creating pieces that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant, and whose bold, layered works transform memory and emotion into vibrant, textured compositions.
Afsara Kelline Mir is an LA-based painter raised between New York City and Alabama, a contrast that shaped her instinct for mixing things together. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas and mixed media, she blends her love of film, vintage pulp art, and pop culture to create her works.
Texas-based figurative painter and sculptor Haley Bowen creates empowering works that celebrate the female form through nude portraiture and lifelike sculptural casting. Drawing on nearly two decades of figure study, her practice invites women of all backgrounds to reconnect with their bodies through art, fostering confidence, vulnerability, and self-expression.
Aadam Amanat is a New York City–based artist whose practice centers on painting, with a primary focus on oil while also incorporating charcoal, acrylic, modeling paste, sand, and other mixed media. His work explores abstraction, geometry, portraiture, and mechanical imagery through an interest in composition, structure, and material.
Jahn Muller, b.1994, is a recent MFA graduate from USC Roski School of Art and Design. Their paintings of thrifted toys give discarded and unwanted things a second chance.
More artists to be announced soon.
